  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 pound Chorizo
  • 4 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 2 teaspoon Chipotle Chili Powder (Optional)
  • 2 teaspoon Cumin
  • 2 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper

Additional Ingredients:

  • 2 15 oz Diced Tomatoes
  • 2 Tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 2 15 ounce Tomato Sauce
  • 2 4 ounce Green Chiles
  • 4 cup Diced Sweet Potato
  • 1 15 oz Black Beans (Optional)
  • 1 cup Water

Instructions

  1. Saute Vegetables: Heat olive oil in a large Dutch oven or stock pot, add garlic, diced onion, and red pepper. Cook until the vegetables soften.
  2. Cook Meat: Add ground beef and chorizo. Cook, breaking apart the meat until no longer pink.
  3. Add Ingredients: Stir in spices, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, green chiles, sweet potato, and black beans (if using).
  4. Simmer: Pour in water and simmer over medium-low heat for 30 minutes or until sweet potatoes are tender.
  5. Serve: Enjoy the chili hot with your favorite toppings.
