- 1/4 cup water (60 ml)

Instructions
- Step 1: Prepare the Baking Dish and Pecans – Line a 9×9 inch baking dish with parchment paper and spread 1 cup of chopped pecans on the bottom.
- Step 2: Make the Caramel Mixture – Combine butter, sugar, water, and salt in a pot. Heat until it reaches 300°F, then stir in vanilla.
- Step 3: Cook the Caramel – Stir occasionally until the mixture reaches 300°F, then remove from heat.
- Step 4: Assemble the Toffee – Pour the caramel over the pecans, top with chocolate chips, and let it cool.
- Step 5: Finish and Chill the Toffee – Swirl the melted chocolate, sprinkle with additional pecans and salt. Cool for 4 hours.
- Step 6: Cut and Serve the Toffee – Cut into pieces and enjoy!
