Description
This Creamy Avocado Dip is a zesty and vibrant dip that pairs perfectly with tortilla chips, veggies, or as a spread on sandwiches. Made with ripe avocados, fresh cilantro, zesty lime juice, and a hint of jalapeño, this dip is a crowd-pleaser for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients:
- 2 large avocados, halved and pitted
- ½ cup lightly packed fresh cilantro (some stems are okay)
- ⅓ cup lime juice (from about 2 ½ limes)
- 1 small jalapeño, seeds and ribs removed, roughly chopped
- 2 tablespoons water, more as needed to thin
- ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
Instructions
- Scoop Avocado Flesh: Using a spoon, scoop the flesh of the avocados into a food processor or blender. Add the cilantro, lime juice, jalapeño, water, and salt.
- Process Mixture: Process, stopping to scrape down the sides as necessary, until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Add additional water if needed for blending.
- Adjust Consistency: Add more water for a thinner sauce if desired. Adjust salt to taste.
- Serve: Transfer the avocado sauce to a small serving bowl. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 4 days.
Notes
- This dip is best served fresh but can be stored with plastic wrap directly on the surface to prevent browning.
- You can customize the spice level by adjusting the amount of jalapeño used.
