Ground Beef Mixture:
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Additional Ingredients:
- 1 cup uncooked orzo pasta
- 1 (14 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 3/4 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy/whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 2 cups fresh baby spinach, packed
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare Ground Beef: Add the ground beef to a soup pot/Dutch oven and cook over medium-high heat for 5-6 minutes.
- Add Onion: Stir in the onion and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
- Season and Add Orzo: Stir in garlic, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and orzo. Cook for 1 minute.
- Combine Sauces: Add tomato sauce, beef broth, cream, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook uncovered for 10 minutes.
- Finish Dish: Remove from heat, stir in parmesan and spinach. Cover for 3-5 minutes until thickened. Season with salt and pepper before serving.

- For a spicier kick, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
